Corin Finnie is a multifaceted mixed media painter, muralist, and sculptor whose latest body of work has emerged from a place of beautiful restlessness. Initially stifled by familiar subject matter, Corin embraced her lack of inspiration as a catalyst for transformation, diving deeply into the exploration of new colors, concepts, and applications. This journey led her to develop a distinctive artistic signature, manifesting ethereal landscapes that delve into multiple themes, with a strong focus on shadow work and the symbolism of portals and entryways.
Through her new work, Corin has trained herself to perceive the world with fresh eyes, crafting narratives that intertwine her heart, soul, and truth in every stroke. She emphasizes that the true magic lies in this renewed perspective, inviting viewers to see the extraordinary within the ordinary.
Originally from the coastal town of Scituate, Massachusetts, Corin now resides in Bradenton, Florida with her partner Luke & poodle Xena. She attended several schools of art, Tyler School of Art at Temple University, the University of Pittsburgh, and the Academy of Fine Arts and Design in Bratislava, Slovakia, before graduating from Slippery Rock University.
Additionally, Corin is a skilled muralist, bringing her vibrant visions to life on walls, and she finds joy in the tactile nature of sculpture. Her extensive travels, both domestically and abroad, have greatly enriched her artistic voice, which resonates with themes of nature, spiritual alchemy, synchronicity, and connectedness.
Corin Finnie's work stands as a powerful testament to the journey of self-discovery through art, as each piece narrates a unique story, inviting others to explore the transformative potential of creativity.
